METHODS OF TEACHING:
In methods of teaching in general, the modern and traditional methods are balanced. The modern hi-tech digitalized audio-visual multimedia system (such as Digital Teacher, etc.) is used for all the classes wherever it is required. However, one should note that this is not a complete substitute for traditional methods of teaching. It is only an added advantage.
For lower classes, playway methods, audio-visual equipment such as computer CDs for teaching, besides classroom lectures, and the use of a head Projector for showing different objects and naming them to improve vocabulary. Mainly, students are encouraged by creating interest in school and education rather than forcefully educating them with the subject prescribed.
For the middle classes, conventional teaching is mainly followed with a moderate work burden, along with the addition of modern audio-visual equipment, usage of Over Head Projectors, and printed study material for quick preparation for examinations in some cases. The newly introduced government methodology of priority for reading, writing, and understanding will be given top priority. More effort would be put into developing the originality of the student in understanding, analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
For higher classes, conventional teaching is also followed, along with using multimedia audio-video techniques for classroom lecturing. Cog The newly introduced government methodology of priority for reading, writing, understanding,g and academic creative and reproductive abilities will be given top priority. Later traditional approach of preparation of subjects, questions, and answers from study material or question bank, and frequent testing to reproduce what they studied and understood in their own language is followed from the examination point of view. At this stage, a student is expected to understand and remember each and every bit and concept in the syllabus. However, a mad rush for marks alone, mugging up the subject, is not encouraged.
For all the classes, it is most important to have thorough textbook reading and understanding rather than depending on notes or study materials.
DIARY MAINTENANCE:
The best tool for all parents to monitor their child’s education is his/her school diary. A specially designed diary is maintained by all the students that provides information about what happened in each class of the day, with information to parents and feedback. Parents should check the diary every day, write their comments if any, and sign without fail. This diary system is very crucial in maintaining a liaison among parents, students, teachers, and the management.
COMPUTERISATION OF COMPLETE STUDENT DETAILS:
The school is equipped with special school management computer software prepared by RARE INFOTECH. The complete record of the student is computerised. It serves the purpose of a ready reckoner of the student's performance.
CONSTANT COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS AND PARENT-TEACHER MEETINGS:
As information and communication are the most important aspects of these days, the school maintains regular communication with parents about the students. As a part of this, the student’s absence will be informed through SMS/WhatsApp. All important information will be sent through SMS/WhatsApp. Marks will also be sent by SMS/WhatsApp. Based on the requirement, the school keeps calling the parents on their mobile numbers or landlines to keep them updated about their children. In case of other important matters letters will be sent through a certificate of posting. The actual postal expenses should be paid by the parent with the subsequent month’s school fee.
In addition to that completely evaluated answer scripts will be sent to the parent through the students only for every test or examination. The parents must go through them to understand in what way the lapses if any can be corrected. The school maintains complete transparency regarding students’ weaknesses or strengths. After each examination Parent-Teacher meeting will be called for and the parents will be briefed about the student personally and feedback will be taken. For 9th and 10th 10th classes long sessions of PTMs discuss minute things also about the student's preparedness in school as well as suggesting home study methods to parents with educating parents.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
As already said above, studying General Knowledge and Computers as added subjects is a compulsory co-curricular activity. Participation in Quiz programs and GK tests, Computer practical competitions, Wordplay games, etc. are obviously a must. Elocution (public speaking training and competitions) Debates and group Discussions are also compulsory for every student.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Games for primary-class children are feasible in the indoor games space available. For higher-class students, small games like kho-kho, tennis, and some other non-formal games are possible for all classes in the indoor games space of the school. Indoor games like caroms, chess, etc., would be available to the children.
Karate, Yoga, Music, Dance, Dramatics, etc., are introduced as extra-curricular activities mainly for personality development purposes rather than making the students experts in those activities. Only physically fit students will be allowed to do these activities.
EVENING STUDY HOURS/TUITIONS:
If parents and students request, special evening classes will be conducted from 5 to 6-30pm for 9th and 10th classes and also for those who are very weak in studies.
